This lovely inscription popped up while I was researching some stuff and I ended up on a whole adventure reading about the last years of the ancient Egyptian religion and where it was able to hang on the longest, well into the Christian period of history! Shout out to the Philae priests. Y’all the real MVPs. #archaeology #ancientegypt #egypt #history #ancienthistory #hieroglyphs

Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Museum of the History of Religion to be a place with potential, particularly due to its stunning Baroque monastery setting and the atmospheric dungeon tours. However, many reviews express disappointment with the current limited exhibition space, citing ongoing renovations and war impacts as reasons for restricted access. While the architecture and dungeons are often praised, the lack of substantial exhibits has led some to feel it's not worth the entrance fee at this time.

"Definitely worth visiting.
Also famous for great concerts on the premises."

Iren Oliinik

"For less than $2 you get to explore the dungeons under the monestery plus see two halls of exhibits. Because of the war not everything is on display but it still worth visiting. They also have painting done by wounded soliders for sale. I purchased the one below and the thanks the volunteers showed made it worth five times what I paid"

Dan Leal

"My expectations were a lot higher before I entered. The museum is small at the moment, probably due to a renovation. Nobody told me this at the entrance. However some of the paintings were really interesting."
