The Roman theater in Orange, France was built in the early 1st century AD. The tall scaenae frons is quite the sight, as most of them in other theaters aren’t this well preserved. Much of the seating is a modern restoration to allow thousands of spectators today for modern productions. #stage #theater #orange #stone #theatre #history #archaeology #provenece #french #france #spqr #venue #roman #mo...

"A very nice place. Can be easily approached and it's (of course) for free. The surroundings down the slope are being redecorating right now so I think that this place will offer much more in the future. For nie- good to see."

Agata Gorzyńska

"This was a very unusually statue. I had to look up the meaning of it. Supposedly Emperor Paul I  cut off funding to Odessa's seaport in the XVIII century and to attempt to get him to resume the building people sent tropical fruits to the King to St. Petersburg  at the end of winter. This arrival if fruits came to the court of the king, he gave money for the completion of the port and Odessa was saved."
