"People's Square is the heart of the historical Galahiv microdistrict of Uzhhorod. Its development occurred in the period 1930 - 1936, about fifty stylish houses were built, forming a kind of town of Czech civil servants. The decoration of the square is the so-called "White House" - the main building of the regional government, the leadership of the region in the Czech, Hungarian, Soviet and modern periods. The building was built by architect A. Krupka in the style of constructivism during 1934 - 1936."
