What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Vinnytsia Planetarium to be a cozy and affordable destination, particularly praised for its modern dome projection system and engaging astronomy shows. The 'Retro Corner' with its vintage electronics is a unique highlight, though some note that the overall experience might not match larger, more established planetariums. The staff's passion and the clean facilities are often mentioned positively.
"The main thing to note is that despite the fact that the planetarium opens at 10 am, viewing events begin at 12 noon. The planetarium is cozy, the dome hall is large and well-maintained. The waiting room has comfortable seats with sofas, a photo zone and exhibits about astronomy."
Олена Мостицька
"The planetarium works with a fairly active schedule. Three sessions on weekdays and 5 on weekends. There are children's sessions for adults as well. But I personally was interested in the children's one. I read bad reviews and thought that everything was bad in general. Yes, this is not the Kiev planetarium, and the age, and therefore the reactions of the employees are not as they could be. The management itself is not interested in advertising and improving the institution. But most importantly, it fulfills its main function - it is an introduction to the solar system and the information is presented clearly. First there was a cartoon, and then an interesting story about the constellations. The girl told with great love for her profession.
The children will definitely like it and it is better than gadgets 👍🏽.
Tickets at affordable prices 90 UAH for adults and 50 for children.
There are also large planets and models in the lobby itself. Photo zone.
The toilet is very clean.
There is also a museum with old things from the USSR. For younger children it may not be very interesting, but for teenagers and adults it may be interesting. The tour guide tells with enthusiasm.
And near the planetarium there is a museum "Vinnytsia in miniature", there is also something to see. The place is cozy and with benches where you can discuss what you have seen. Entrance 50/30 UAH"

"One of the underrated places in Vinnytsia, although the institution deserves its popularity if only because the updated full-dome projection system is modern equipment with good picture quality and it is very different from the equipment of the 60s, which was in the Vinnytsia planetarium until the moment when in 2007 part of the premises was leased for warehouses, and the other part existed more nominally.
In 2012, after the renovation, the planetarium began to revive a little, and already in 2015, after the installation of updated equipment, this institution again became worth the attention of even those people who were there back in the days of Brezhnev)) Now you can take your grandchildren and come see what has changed in 55 years).
Tickets are available - 50-90 hryvnias, but it's best to call and clarify the time of the session in advance) I won't say that the program directly impressed me, but it was interesting to watch it at least once. The child liked it more :)"
