"I had a really disappointing experience at this place this weekend . My friend and I were on the guest list, properly dressed, and still denied entry with no clear reason. The staff at the door — especially a girl named Chloe — spoke to us in a very rude manner and said, “It’s her who decides who enters.”
The way everything was handled made us feel singled out and discriminated against. This kind of behaviour has no place in Dubai, a city known for fairness and respect for all nationalities.
I’m considering looking into what steps I can take regarding this incident because the treatment we received was unacceptable. I hope the management takes this seriously and ensures no other guests go through the same experience.

I appreciate the response, but nothing you mentioned reflects what actually happened that night. I was fully aware of your policies, and I watched how the door staff applied them selectively while allowing others in without any issue. So, claiming that the rules are applied equally is simply not true.
This wasn’t about reservations or ratios — the attitude and behaviour of your gate manager made it very clear what the real issue was. The way we were spoken to was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. I’m also not surprised by this response, because I noticed similar replies to other reviews saying the exact same thing.
Instead of repeating the same template, it would be better to acknowledge what actually happens at the door and train your staff to treat people respectfully. Guests deserve honesty and basic courtesy, regardless of who they are."

"This is a review about the external hosted event "please leave at 10" held at 1oak.
Watch out! Good place but crappy staff for the event that is fully racist towards you and your friends if they don't see how to make a profit out of you. Let me explain:
We recently attended the "please leave at 10" party with friends. Staff at entry said it's a no reservation event, so we got a table close to the DJ that was a free table. Later they sent staff disguised as patrons asking us to move from their table, and then they gave the table to other people who probably paid for one at the door.
They could have chosen any of the other tables, we were the only non-white one. Upon confronting the staff, they had no answers and ignored us. We won't be returning.
Edit: Do not believe what 1OAK says in the response below. We had called and checked for free tables and they said that there were free tables as can be corroborated by other reviews left for the event below. We were definitely discriminated against and had confronted the fake patrons who were actually servers there. 1OAK thinks a generic statement response and no action against the discrimination will portray them as innocent."

"The place is nice overall, but I went on summer so it was more empty and as a Latina would not recommend it because of the music is not what we're used to and the day that I went nobody was dancing really so then maybe just to hang out but not really if you enjoy dancing and that's why you wanna go out for. It's nice that it was free for the ladies though, and that it has dresscode required so it creates a really glamorous vibe inside."
