"I went for a hike with some friends. We parked our car next to Yasser Café (parking is free), where I also enjoyed a freshly squeezed orange juice after the hike.
We started the hike from Al Khattem Dam. After crossing the bridge over the dam, we went down to the beginning of the trail. There are three different routes you can take to reach the Hatta Sign. We followed the red trail starting from Al Khattem Dam to the Hatta Sign.
There is another trail that starts from Al Wadi Dam and also leads to the Hatta Sign — I believe it was marked green or blue, though I’m not entirely sure. The third trail was blue, but I’m not certain where it started.
Among the three, the red trail is the most challenging compared to the green or blue ones. The total hike is about 6 km, possibly a little less.
It was a really fun experience. We didn’t know at the time, but Hatta Outdoor actually sometimes organizes free guided hikes to the Hatta Sign. You can find more information on their Instagram page with other activities.
At the top, we met other hikers who had joined their group, and they kindly shared their water with us.
The hike was a truly memorable experience for me and my friends. All the trails connect at different points, so you can choose the route that suits you best.
Before our hike, I found it hard to get detailed information — so I hope this helps others planning to visit. The views were absolutely stunning, and we took lots of great photos and videos.
Better start the hike as early as possible if you decide to go during summer. We started our hike at 6am and caught a sunrise and a good weather. The heat started around 8-9 am."
