Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Qattara Oasis for its tranquil atmosphere, rich history, and beautiful natural scenery, particularly the dense palm groves. Many recommend it as a peaceful alternative to the more crowded Al Ain Oasis, especially for a scenic drive or a quiet walk during cooler months. Some note that it's best experienced in winter for comfortable exploration.

"I loved driving through and between the palm trees. Was an amazing experience, very quiet and tranquil."

Nabil Khattab

"Qattara Oasis
One of the six oasis in Al Ain, accorded World heritage status by UNESCO, Qattara Oasis is rich in history, with a 4,000-year-old tomb, ancient mosques, and fortified houses. Nestled amid the attractive patchwork of date palms, fruit orchards and cool pathways are 19 historic earthen buildings dating from the mid-18th to the early 20th century. These buildings include a souq or traditional market. While the oasis has been farmed for at least 300 years, older signs of human habitation include a 14-metre-long tomb to the east where excavations revealed a trove of ancient artefacts more than 3,000 years old."

Vikas Singh

"If you are in AlAin please drive through this oasis, it's an amazing experience. Walking through this is even better, however mostly people walk through Al Ain Oasis and thus this drive through oasis is a great way to have a different experience."
