"Al Hamra Mall is a nice, clean, and well-maintained shopping centre—as you’d expect in the UAE. It’s on the smaller side, which makes it easy to navigate, and we really liked the Spinneys supermarket, even though prices were a bit high. Surprisingly, it turned out to be one of the better places to buy souvenirs, especially compared to some of the smaller stalls.
The reason for 4 stars is mainly due to the number of empty outlets—a lot of retail spaces are currently closed, which affects the shopping variety and overall atmosphere. Also, we found some of the shops more expensive than expected for a mall of this size.
We were approached by a few perfume sellers, but it wasn’t too pushy—nothing like in parts of North Africa. On the plus side, there’s a good Starbucks and some nice food options.
It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby, but don’t expect to spend more than 3 hours here. With more active stores, it could easily be a 5-star spot."
