What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests often praise the Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa for its excellent value, prime Bur Dubai location, and unique Arabian-themed decor. However, some reviews point to inconsistent staff service and unresolved safety concerns, impacting the overall experience for a portion of visitors.
"The Arabian Courtyard Hotel is honestly one of the best hotels in Bur Dubai — perfect location, great ambience, and real value for money. I stayed here with my family for 5 days, and it was a wonderful experience.
The Arabian-themed rooms were luxurious, warm, and cozy — giving a completely different vibe compared to regular hotel rooms. It truly felt like living in an authentic Arabian setting! The hotel is also budget-friendly and includes a buffet breakfast, which was good overall, though I’d suggest adding a bit more variety to the menu.
The location is superb — everything you need is just a short walk away. Shops, markets, the Abra ride, and Old Dubai are all nearby, with much cheaper market rates compared to other areas.
Special mention to Mr. Mohammed Usman, Safety Duty Officer, who handled our checkout very smoothly. He was hardworking, polite, and honestly very sweet — made our experience even better!
All in all, I absolutely loved the stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai. 🌟"

"We stayed in this hotel last week and did not enjoy our stay at all. We arrived late at night after a long flight and the receptionist on duty kept us waiting while he chatted on a phone call which was not a good introduction to the place.
The room was dated but large and adequate, however the air conditioning was very loud.
We felt basically brushed off by staff at the desk when asking for advice as to where to go and what to do. We asked for help to get a taxi there and back from a night dinner cruise and were referred to a man on business desk (should have been consierge) who said he would organise it for us. We assumed this was done but no taxi arrived for taking us or pick up and it was very hard to get back to the hotel.
The hotel porters were very helpful and friendly but no one else.
We were left wondering if it was our age or what? Would not recommend this hotel to anyone of our age or ethnicity."

It’s a perfect choice for travelers seeking both comfort and cultural immersion without breaking the bank.
The Bodhi Lounge: A Hub for Relaxation and Refreshment
An interesting detail highlighted by a TikTok video is the hotel's policy regarding WiFi: 'buy a drink' is the password. This adds a unique, lighthearted touch to the guest experience, encouraging patrons to engage with the lounge's offerings. The baristas here are also noted for their passion and care in crafting orders, including specialty coffees like iced coffee.
Whether you're seeking a quiet evening drink or a lively atmosphere with music, The Bodhi Lounge provides a convenient and enjoyable option within the hotel. It’s a testament to the hotel’s aim of providing diverse amenities for its guests, from cultural experiences to casual relaxation spots.
Guest Experiences: A Tale of Two Stays
However, some guests have reported less satisfactory experiences. One review detailed a poor initial reception, with a receptionist prioritizing a phone call over assisting late-arriving guests. This reviewer also felt staff at the desk were dismissive when seeking advice, and a pre-arranged taxi service failed, leading to difficulties getting back to the hotel. Another significant concern raised by a long-term guest involved a rude waitress during breakfast and a serious safety issue with scalding hot shower water that was not adequately addressed by management, leading to deep disappointment despite years of loyalty.
These contrasting reviews highlight the importance of individual experiences and the potential for inconsistencies in service. While many find the hotel to be a highly recommended choice for its location and theme, potential visitors might want to be aware of the reported issues regarding staff attentiveness and safety protocols.
