Reviews Summary

Talise Ottoman Spa at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray offers a visually stunning and opulent Turkish-inspired experience with a wide range of luxurious facilities. While many praise the grand ambiance, traditional hammam, and relaxing thermal pools, some guests have encountered issues with booking organization, maintenance, and noise disruptions, which can detract from the expected five-star luxury.

"It’s a tourist trap, Construction going on, clothes are hanged to dry like is middle of Mumbai in so called “Zen Area” None working showers, falsely advertising just a basic hot dry Suna as ( fancy herbal bath), calling a basic plastic plastered dirty shower an experience shower that is not working! Nothing . This place is worthless other than the nice entrance that I give one extra star for.. your normal hotel has a better facility! If that’s excite you read the remaining of my true experience today.

Visited today to enjoy the Turkish bath. I thought this would be a 5-star smooth and relaxing experience, giving the price point witch I totally did not mind and thought it would be worth it! But I was disappointed to say the least. I booked and paid online, showed up at the front desk, checked in, signed the disclaimers, and asked the receptionist if they needed my credit card. He mentioned it was already paid online, so there was no need—I was good to go and could use the facility until my time for the Hamam.

I showed up 10 minutes early at the spot where they asked me to come, and the therapist showed up too—but said I wasn’t in the system. Then another person came, then another, until four people were surrounding me trying to figure out why I wasn’t in the system. What should have been a relaxing experience turned into an exhausting. I sat there in my bathrobe for about 15 minutes answering questions, feeling uncomfortable while having to explain over and over that I had a reservation and showing my email receipt. Even the receptionist came and said, “Yes, I remember you with your credit card and Signing disc disclosure!

On top of that, there were other issues. Super weirdly if you get a massage or bath, they ask you to put a woman style underwear, thin mash for men to wear, which I found unacceptable. Meanwhile, as I was thinking about this, I saw a maintenance guy pushing a big cart with a ladder and paint supplies in the sauna area and started to paint with his equipment where it’s supposed to be quiet and peaceful and no a construction zone with oil base paint smell, that alone may be small but tells you this guys are not premium spa that they like to portend by using fancy name and fancy door!

Overall, I think this is at best a less than average place. Don’t come here expecting a five-star experience just because you’re paying five-star prices. See the pictures for yourself. I left."

"Complete peace of mind, body, and soul. Sauna +80 and above... Snow room... And much more... A very large area. Time spent there is unlimited. A place you'll want to return to!!"

"Disappointing Experience – Far from the Luxury Promised

I recently visited Talise Ottoman Spa for a side-by-side couple’s massage and was thoroughly disappointed from the moment we entered the treatment room. We were assigned the “Ionian” room, and the experience fell short of expectations in almost every aspect.

The space had a stale, unpleasant oil smell and felt like it hadn’t been used—or properly maintained—for quite some time. The furniture and interiors were dull and far from the opulent experience one would expect from a spa that positions itself as a luxurious, award-winning destination.

While I understand the intention to recreate a classical “Ottoman” atmosphere, this shouldn’t translate into a room that feels rusty, unkempt, or uninviting. The massage bed itself carried a lingering oil odor, and even the in-room shower had a foul smell that made the post-treatment experience uncomfortable. To make matters worse, we could clearly hear the bathroom drain from an adjacent room every time it was used—something you absolutely don’t expect in a setting marketed as serene and exclusive.

Such basic hygiene and maintenance issues are simply unacceptable for a brand of this caliber, especially considering the premium prices they charge compared to standard spas.

The massage itself was average at best—not something that could redeem the overall experience. Additionally, the indoor pool for men is surprisingly small and underwhelming, unlike the much larger facility featured on the website, which we later found out is for women only.

Perhaps other guests might receive better rooms and walk away with a different impression. But the Ionian room we were given should not be in use at all—it’s significantly below the standards Talise Ottoman Spa claims to uphold."
