"We have tried this restaurant multiple times before for lunch and dinner and every time the food was average - nothing good but nothing bad either. As long time customer did Ranches Restaurant we have NO plans to return anytime soon especially after our disastrous and chaotic breakfast experience.
The service here is… well the servers don’t know about any of the dishes and the portions (when asked how many pieces of danish come in the “selection of danish” she replied let me check and come back, then when asked “what types of danish are available in the selection” she didn’t know and had to go back to check.
We ordered a (two egg omelette, a pancake, a Americano coffee, and a mango paradise smoothie) and the food took a long time to cook (bill is attached as proof). After the eggs came we had to ask for ketchup, then after the pancakes we came I went up to ask our waitress for maple syrup she replied “sure” but after five minutes of waiting nothing had come and she was standing there freely.
After a second time she finally brought maple syrup and Nutella as the pancakes come WITHOUT Nutella or even maple syrup instead they strangely come with plain yoghurt!
Cold food came to the table not sizzling hot not fresh.
The ambience contributed to our displeasure, unlike other similar restaurants like the nearby Maison Mathis or the Farms there are TONS of flies attacking your food and with no solution/fly fan/repellent it gets annoying.
The pancakes were horrible - plain soggy. The eggs are a similar story - DISGUSTING and STALE while taking a long time to come. There was no bread, and barely any fillings in the omelette (two eggs for 50 AED!!) Mango smoothie and Americano coffee was not good either. Overpriced!!
Overall, the food was HIGHLY overpriced and quantity matched KID SIZED portions.
