Everyone who visits Rio ends up at Pão de Açúcar - and for a good reason 😍. In my opinion, it’s one of the best spots to watch the sunset. You get a spectacular view over the city and the Guanabara Bay. Did you know Sugarloaf Mountain is over 600 million years old? It’s one of the oldest natural formations in Rio! #riodejaneiro #brasil #brazil #createadventure #sunsets #mountain #carioca

"⭐⭐⭐⭐
Amazing Sunset Hike with Stunning Views

Sugar Loaf is hands down one of the best hiking spots around, especially if you’re looking to catch a beautiful sunset. The views from the summit are absolutely breathtaking — you get a full 360-degree panoramic view that’s perfect for photos or just soaking in the scenery.

The hike up took us about 50 minutes at a steady pace. It’s a bit of a workout but nothing too difficult if you’re moderately fit. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow.

There’s a parking area at the base, which is super convenient. Overall, it’s a perfect short hike with a big reward at the top. Highly recommend timing your visit for late afternoon to enjoy the sunset from the summit!"

Krutika Khadse

"Family friendly. Challenging hike but it is doable on a good day. Getting to the car park can be tricky as it can become difficult to drive through narrow roads."

Gowri Shangar

"The Sugar Loaf is a classic hill, with its distinctive shape it's visible on the skyline from many places in South Wales. You can walk it pretty much from every direction and all trails are easy to follow and well walked. It's a popular hill, but you can get it to yourself, even on a good day, if you're lucky.

Amazing views from the top, with crags adding foreground interest as you look towards the Black Mountains range.

Well worth walking and also worth photographing from a distance as you can get some dramatic shots when the sky is right."
