"The hotel is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. The breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately our rooms had two huge generators attached to the outside wall and they started up very loudly every hour, so no sleep for a 4 hour drive the next day. Enjoy the gorgeous hotel, but top tip..just don't stay in rooms 16 and 17!"

"I go to Truro for an annual social event and this Hotel is always my first choice.
Rooms and service excellent over all my stays. The hotel is in a great location with great landscaping and is definitely a treat to stay there.
My only thing I would mention is due to the character of the building, there are many stairs, so do make arrangements with the hotel if you have walking difficulties."

"We recently had an amazing week long holiday in Cornwall and loved everything - except the food at the Alverton.
Dinner on the first night included undercooked chips and rubbery kale. Breakfast would have been fine for a Travelodge and we pined for breakfast at Driftwood.
The location is amazing with easy access to the whole of Cornwall. Our room in the Courtyard was spacious and very comfortable with a great bathroom. The staff were a pleasure- just need new chefs."
