Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Aysgill Force as a stunning hidden gem in the North Pennines, praising its powerful main waterfall and the unique experience of walking behind it. The scenic walk along the river and the presence of smaller cascades add to its charm. However, the steep and narrow paths are a significant consideration, making it unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

"Came the last Sunday of August. The weather was mix of sunshine and spells of rain, maybe that's why there were few spots to park a car on a bridge.

I followed the maps directions which led straight to this place. Walked down the bridge and there were stony steps leading downhill which I followed.

It was an easy walk but with beautiful views."

"Beautiful walk through the hills, long side the river. Not too challenging and walking boots are recommended.
Peaceful and quiet if you go on week days."

"A beautiful waterfall but the path down is very narrow and steep in places. The path is not suitable for anyone who has limited mobility. There is a relatively flat area for a picnic but all rubbish has to be taken home with you."
