"This is such lovely hide gem, small but mighty. So much interesting artefacts to see, all in orderly fashion of topics. Lovely welcome and atmosphere, there was some kind of tea & cake gathering, to which you can enjoy. It really is worth a visit, plenty to see. Our family loves museums , this little one was as good as the big city museums. If not better as it’s been loved and cared for personally. if I’m right in what the lovely lady said. It’s over a 100 yrs old and still going strong. They had a cute interactive area with microscopes and slides, my wee girl loved. A nice gentlemen came and showed us some interesting flints, they are about to display. Interesting little stories. Thank you we enjoyed our time there very much 😊"

"An absolute gem! This is a must see if you're in Rossendale, never mind Bacup. An amazing tardis of a museum who's collections defy the apparent size of this former public house. Housing some amazing artefacts not just from around Lancashire but across the world, this is a stunning goldmine of history. Incredibly friendly volunteers who are not only very welcoming but offer some passionate insight into the history of the area, the people and the artefacts they care for.
And it's free!
This museum is a must see."
