"A beautiful beach with a very cool vibe in a lovely Devon village with so much to offer. Yes the parking is pricey but in the big scheme of things if you are a family of 4 or 5 the parking is great value for all day and you can always bring a picnic. Just chill, enjoy and have fun on the beach and water. Toilets, lots of parking food trucks, surf, great local pub, estuary, board hire."

"Fantastic sandy beach with a large dog-friendly section well sign-posted. The river Avon meanders around the beach and is great for just relaxing in inflatables for a slow river ride when the tide is out.
Just be aware the access is via a very narrow lane - so take it slow and be prepared to give space to oncoming vehicles. Parking is £11 for the day just by the entrance to the beach. Free toilet facilities in the large white building at the start of the car park."

"A beach which has everything, at low tide you can walk around the headland towards Butter Cove, exploring all the rock pools. Good footwear needed. Or you can go in the opposite direction and explore the mouth of the River Avon.
There are plenty of sheltered spots towards Hams End where you can still watch the kids in the sea. Arrive early these are popular in high season."
