"This is a work in progress garden. It's a private estate and the owners are working on reviving the gardens as a visitor attraction. It's a magnificent place with parts dating back to the 1600s. A good tea room offering soup of the day, quiche, a selection of lovely cakes and an excellent cuppa!
At £7.50 per adult to see the gardens I thought it was a bit pricey, but nevertheless a good afternoon out"
Sue Cochrane
"The gardens are nice enough but you do get the feeling they've been slightly neglected, which is a shame because it's a lovely location on the River Bush. There are a couple of nice walks into the woods and up to the Victorian bridge on the river. There's a small café in the stableyard."
Chris Kinnersley
"Had a lovely time here wandering round the garden. Beautiful even though it was raining. A good selection of plants - clearly a plants man's garden some unusual specimens which I find more interesting. Visited in may so lots of things at their best. My favourites were the pond area, the large shrub with orange flowers covered in bees (I'll have to look it up !) and the roses which grow so well here. Worth a visit if you are in the area and love nature."
