"Unfortunately I was never able to enter Bettisons Tower. I walked past it for 3 years when I lived in Hornsea and thought it was lovely. My husband is from Hornsea and never knew it was there. I love the history behind it and love how it's still around for people to enjoy today. Most recently it was used as an air raid look out point and siren during WWII. It must have been used frequently as Hull was the second most heavily bombed city in England. Now it sits in a housing estate off the main road that goes through Hornsea - Newbegin. I wasn't aware of it being opened when I lived there but it's nice to see the photos on here of what it looks like on the inside."
