"Nice to see, there are other rings in the area too. If you are interested in these rings, then yes, it's worth the effort to come and visit.
Nothing else in the area though, we'll a nice forest close by that's worth a walk.
And dog friendly, but sheep around so please keep them on a lead."

"Walked from Bardsea village to this stone circle , nice walk with some steep parts taking you up to the field , not sign posted at all so had to ask a local in his garden for directions which he very kindly gave us. The stone circle itself is not very big, but the views when you reach the top on your way to the circle are worth the walk on their own and the circle is worth a visit."

"you’re stood right among 3,500 years of history. Standing in Birkrigg, you’re literally on the same ground Bronze Age people used for their ceremonies.
If you want to honour the place with a ritual, keep it simple, respectful, and natural – something that connects you to the landscape and those who stood there before you.
🌞 Sun & Shadow Ritual (ancient connection)
If the sun is shining, stand so your shadow falls into the circle.
Imagine your shadow joining all those who have stood here before.
Raise your arms slowly to the sky, acknowledging the sun (the Bronze Age people were very tied to solar cycles).
Lower them, grounding your palms to the earth.
🌿 A Prayer for Birkrigg
*"Spirits of this land,
Ancestors who walked before me,
Keepers of stone, sea, and sky —
I stand in this circle with respect.
May the winds carry away my burdens,
May the sun bring strength to my heart,
May the earth beneath my feet keep me grounded,
And may the waters of the bay cleanse my spirit.
I give thanks for this moment,
For the life that flows through me,
And for the wisdom held in these stones.
So may it be."*"
