What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Wylde Green Station is a well-maintained local hub, appreciated for its cleanliness and community care. While platforms are narrow and shelter is limited, its easy access to Boldmere High Street and functional design make it a reliable stop for commuters. Some travelers have reported negative interactions with train staff, though this seems to be an isolated incident.
"This station has entrances (ramps and steps) at both ends at Highbridge Road (the Annatomix fox at that end) and Station Road (the ticket office building). Platforms are long, but narrow, behind the yellow line is not much room to stand. Well maintained by the Friends of Wylde Green Station. A short walk from the Boldmere High Street."
Elliott Brown
"This was a great station for both arrival and departure, with well-sized platforms for the trains! Signs help navigate to the different points of the station and access to the street is easy, shelter is overhead too but this is only on one side for some reason. Departure boards were kept up to date, station colours look fresh and cleanliness was good."
K. Peake
"Horrible. Train driver stopped and told us that we were touching the train when we clearly weren't and he originally wasn't going to let us onto the train. He said his job was on the line and even though it may have been just fun for us it wasn't for him. Didn't care about our safety at all. Absolutely appalling. Not riding again"
