"A largely hidden valley of ancient woodlands that twists and turns its way south from the ford by St Teilo’s church at the northern end, to the sublime Pwll Du beach at the southern/seaward end.

Look out for flooded caves, valley floor meadows, an Iron Age fort on the eastern rim, and reeded wetlands behind the storm beach.

The northern section is very rugged, and only for the experienced walker. Easier access is via St Teilo’s Court where a stepped path leads to the valley floor, or for a shorter expedition, from Backingstone Lane.

If the weather is warm, take your bathers for a swim at the bay. You can exit the bay and return to the village via the obvious path on the eastern side"
