"The David Livingstone Birthplace Museum is fascinating as it showcased the home of the Livingstone family, artefacts from Africa, his journals, and many other priceless items that are very well-kept by museum volunteers.
You can read more about him in the "Museum Guide" written by Dr.Mike Carroll, assisted by an editorial team and photographer, Alan Gardiner.I bought a few copies from the gift shop, and had them autographed by Dr Carroll. It was a pleasure to meet him on the Wednesday that I visited. All the staff at the centre (including Margaret at the gift shop) were lovely. I must add that the food at the cafe was great too. I had the sweet chillie chicken toastie for lunch ;)"

Aleksandra Kwiecien (Ola)
"The museum itself is brilliant, so interactive and entertaining for children and they've brought stories to life with technology. There is also a cafe and gift shop on site, the food is delicious and the stock in the shop is great. They really put thought into what they stock. In addition they run different affordable classes throughout the week for all ages from outdoors classes like foraging to arts and crafts and yoga during the week. These are really affordable too, almost always £5 or less. Most of all though, the staff are so friendly and ready to help whenever they can."
