While most experiences are highly positive, occasional feedback points to service inconsistencies.
"We visited this charming historic property, managed by the National Trust, for Sunday lunch and were glad we had reserved in advance, as it was clearly a popular spot. The building itself was full of character, with a maze of cosy rooms that added to the atmosphere. Our dining space was quite compact, with only a few tables, and the slightly uneven floor gave it a unique charm. Despite the busy setting, the staff provided attentive and efficient service. The meal was satisfying, with a good selection of well-prepared meats and vegetables. There was also a solid range of drinks at reasonable prices. It was a thoroughly enjoyable visit, and we’d happily return if we’re in the area again."

"Called for Sunday carvery dinner generally good though veg a bit too al dented even for me and it could have been hotter. Lamb was largely inedible due to gristle so we were not charged for that. A small table next to the log fire was cosy and just big enough. Quirky old place with great atmosphere was obviously popular and a great location."

Super enjoyable time for my Mom's 80th birthday lunch, thanks guys!
There is also a small youtube channel with 'Tales from the Fleece' where the landlord tells about the witch circles in the pub! Lovely!"
