In Brighton right now, is the Royal Pavilion worth the £17 entry to look inside?
If you can wait, they are doing free entry on Sunday 15th January. Otherwise, it's not bad value - you get to see some interesting stuff and free re-entry for the year.

Are there any decent art galleries in Brighton?
Ones that aren’t just showing work to sell. Not galleries showing student work, as that seems to be a thing also. Are there any galleries that have a really good collection of work by well-known artists? Or galleries that have a really extensive collection that you can wander…
Visiting on holiday, USA to Brighton for 3 nights. Looking for ideas and things to do.
Hello. My wife and I will be in Brighton for three nights in October. We already have our hotels booked for the trip and will be in the UK for about 10 days total. Brighton has a sort of mystical draw historically and in a literary sense so it is on our list for our first…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Brighton Museum & Art Gallery for its engaging and interactive exhibits, particularly highlighting its family-friendly atmosphere and excellent accessibility features. While some find the art selection limited for the entry fee, the well-curated local history and special exhibitions, combined with friendly staff, make it a highly recommended cultural stop.
"A good place to go with potential to be better. What I loved about the Brighton museum is it's variety of historical and local lore which presented the opportunity to cover the very basics (such as the Egyptian exhibit). It was really great to see not only a diverse history of Brighton & Hove, but also that members of staff had the opportunity to express their own creative passions here which gave it's own merit of exploration. Although not to my personal taste, the current mod exhibition served it's purpose well. The passion and protest exhibit was also a great addition and I will be using the insights I have gained to form part of my practice development in the equality and diversity module of my formal apprenticeship. What was disappointing, was the amount of fashion displays. The mod exhibition followed by a Ben Sherman takeover had overtaken a significant amount of the museum. I think that if they had been spread out separately or combined into the backspace that the Mod exhibition was in it would have been enough. I do hope with the rotation of exhibits on offer come January we will see less of similarity and a more diverse range of exhibitions on offer."

"Absolute gem although I didn't have my kids with me the day I visited, I totally noticed and appreciated how interactive and kid friendly the museum was. Will definitely be back. It was a really lovely experience."

"Cute and quaint exhibitions! Very limited art selection of all the art galleries I have visited in the UK and £10.00 entry fee. Nice staff though and decent location."
