What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find the Broadway Museum & Art Gallery to be a delightful place with insightful local history and a notable art collection, particularly featuring John Singer Sargent. The friendly staff and atmospheric building enhance the experience. However, some guests feel the admission price is high for the size of the museum.
"Had a first visit to Broadway Museum and Art Gallery. It is a wonderful place and tells the story of Broadway well. It also incudes a floor devoted to a number of famous artists who summered here. This includes a couple of Sargeant portraits and a photo facsimile of his famous "Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose" work which was painted locally. They appear to.also have an original Hogarth but alas this is in a glass case and not hung on the walls, making it extremely difficult to view properly. Otherwise, I spent a very pleasant hour here."

"Spent over 2 hours in this fantastic museum, great range of objects with links to the village of Broadway. The building itself is very atmospheric and well worth inspecting. Great little museum with wonderful objects check it out if your nearby"
Rob Pippin
"10 pound per person entry is absolutely highway robbery. The price is very poorly marked out until you are cornered by the volunteers to cough up for admission. Very small museum and not much in the collection considering it’s 10 pound to enter. Won’t be recommending or returning."

Understanding the Visitor Experience
However, a recurring point of discussion among visitors is the admission price. Some feel that £10 per person is quite high, especially considering the size of the museum and its collection. This sentiment is particularly strong for those who might not be deeply invested in local history or art. The lack of clear pricing until the point of sale has also been mentioned as a minor frustration.
