"A wonderful place to visit. Friendly welcome and guides to give you information inside the castle. Used for many films and series on TV you can just picture yourself in some period drama as you take in the architecture and look around the many rooms, decorated with interesting period furniture and historical items. The view of the grounds from the roof is spectacular and you can see the wide moat in all its glory. Don't forget to look in the church within the grounds with it's resident bats.
Practicalities:- parking and toilets and a very nice café.
It's all well worth a visit."
