What are some nice beaches near Bristol?

I’ve got some leave this week and the weather is meant to be nice so we were thinking of going to the beach. I’m not from Bristol originally and haven’t been to the beach since I moved here so I’m not sure which are the nice beaches and where I should avoid! Thank you

Visitors appreciate the traditional pier amusements, numerous cafes, and the unique sight of the leaning church tower. However, the murky water and potential for sinking mud mean it's not a destination for swimming, and careful attention to tide times is essential for safety.

"Golden sand interesting beach for playing, digging, sports and kite flying. Sea and waves limited due to sand bars. Pier with amusements. Many cafes along prom and in town. Visit church with its leaning tower! Many good info plaques along sea wall."

"A great place to sit on the beach and enjoy a day out. There is a nearby pub, chippy, ice cream parlor and pier. At around 5:30pm, the tide come in and it makes beautiful pictures. The water is murky, so don't go swimming. There is sinking mud anyways, so thats not a good idea. There is a B&M near for decent parking. There are also arcades near. The pictures I put up are views of when the tide comes in. They are great pictures."

"Burnham-on-Sea Beach Review

Burnham-on-Sea beach is a wide, sandy stretch along the Somerset coast, perfect for a relaxed day out by the sea. The soft sands make it ideal for walking, building sandcastles, or simply sitting back and enjoying the fresh coastal air. At low tide, the beach opens up into an expansive landscape with stunning views across the Bristol Channel. It’s a peaceful spot with a traditional seaside feel, great for families, dog walkers, and anyone looking to enjoy the charm of a classic English beach."
