"Lovely place to visit, sadly not enough to do there.
The children did have a lovely time exploring the jungle book trail.
The pecan and date flapjack, was the best flapjack I have ever tasted!"
Emma
"Our second visit here and this time we took our daughter and 6 year old grandaughter with us. They fell in love with it just like we did when we first came here. So relaxing and great for a very chilled Sunday afternoon. I love just wandering around and granddaughter loved the mill. The house is fascinating to visit and learn more about Rudyard Kipling and the 6 year old was quite taken with all the old furniture etc and the library of over 2000 books"

"Absolutely amazing, If like us and you grew up with, The Jungle Book, then this is a great place to visit, a 17th-century Jacobean manor that served as Rudyard Kipling's family home from 1902 until his death in 1936. The house became a sanctuary for Kipling and the inspiration for some of his most famous works.
Bateman's is maintained much as it was during the Kiplings' lifetime.
There's also a statue of him on High Street burwash worth a visit."
