What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Castle Green for its excellent playpark and beautiful waterfront location, making it a hit with families and those seeking a relaxing day out. While the castle offers historical interest and the beach provides scenic views, some areas like the mini-golf could benefit from maintenance. Occasional issues with noise from ice cream van generators have been noted.
"The play area and picnic areas are excellent. We took our grandsons on the putting this week. Nothing much has changed regarding the condition of this area in the last five years. Hole 14 is still a no go and some of the brickwork isn't safe. It needs a good tidy up and a coat of paint wouldn't go amiss. The recent upgrade of the park makes the putting area look even more neglected. Such a pity!!"

"Castle was closed when I went. But still nice to visit. Was busy, but still quite and peaceful. Car park was free. Harbour was on 1 side and a sandy beach on the other. There is information boards about the castle, has a draw bridge too."
