I Visited The Devils Bridge in Ceredigion in Aberystwyth…. Was it worth the money? The waterfall and those steps are so steep I was so scared #Welsh #Wales #devilsbridge

Yesterday I finally visited the museum cottage in Llanon, Ceredigion. With a wonderfully untouched interior, complete with smoke hood, crog loft and roped underthatch, it’s a true gem of Welsh vernacular architecture. . The volunteer who showed us around asked me outright, can you imagine living like this… I smiled and said that we nearly do, and one day probably will. . Open 2-4pm Tuesday - Frid...

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Ceredigion Museum for its welcoming staff, affordable entry, and fascinating displays of local history, all housed within a unique Edwardian theatre. While some note it's a smaller museum that can be explored quickly, its charm and the quality of its exhibits, especially the preserved cottage and Roman history sections, make it a highly recommended local attraction.

"I love a local attraction and the staff here were very welcoming but this castle won't take long to go round. There's very little left for a start. The Georgian mansion has loads of local info but there wasn't much about the original mediaeval history. Good intro presentation on arrival and elaborate cafe but you won't need much more than an hour. It's priced accordingly."

Arron Nicholson

"A lovely little museum, entry only £2 so definitely worth it to see the exhibits. Staff are very friendly. The gift shop has many good value for money items, and there's also a wide variety of leaflets regarding local attractions, walks, events etc so a good stop off for anyone staying locally. There is a lift for access to all 3 floors of the museum."

Flora Stanbridge

"Only a small museum so it won't take too long to get around but very interesting nonetheless. It was free entry on our visit but we went in happy to pay the usual £2 entry fee. The lady on reception was very helpful also."
