"I love a local attraction and the staff here were very welcoming but this castle won't take long to go round. There's very little left for a start. The Georgian mansion has loads of local info but there wasn't much about the original mediaeval history. Good intro presentation on arrival and elaborate cafe but you won't need much more than an hour. It's priced accordingly."

The gift shop has many good value for money items, and there's also a wide variety of leaflets regarding local attractions, walks, events etc so a good stop off for anyone staying locally. There is a lift for access to all 3 floors of the museum."
