"What an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish it was watching RED. The moment I stepped into the theatre I felt the magic — and the show more than lived up to that feeling. The cast were astonishingly incisive: their energy, emotion, and timing pulled me right into the story. The staging was breathtaking, the music enchanting, and the atmosphere kept me completely engaged throughout. I loved how inclusive and welcoming the production felt — truly an unforgettable night. I would definitely recommend you to watch the show."

"Once inside you come through double doors that open and can follow the footsteps on the floor which will guide you inside. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The space is clean, spacious and brightly lit. The colour chairs and tables add some character into the waiting space and the spot lights across the ceiling help build the environment. Such a great place that is not too far from the Oakwood station, it was actually a nice stroll maybe 10-12 minutes away on a straight road. Beside them is a small park with a playground and the cherry blossom trees which are in full bloom at the moment. They do have a cafe here so you can have a hot cuppa before or after the show. Everything is one level which means it’s buggy/stroller accessible. The team gave out stickers when we entered which nice.
The show is fantastic full of energy, live narration, vocals singing and dancing. My little one kept dancing and touching the puppets. All of the character were fun and colorful. The entire crew were so happy and energetic always making eye contact with everyone in the crowd and getting the kids to dance with all of their body. They even teach you sign languages which is great. As an adult I could see why this show was so popular and they always encouraged children to come to the stage and get involved. Lots of dancing positive vibes. I think this may have been the best children’s show I have been to so far and I would 100% go again. I also love how everyone is in Matt’s in the floor and were able to really see and hear everyone in the show.
You can even purchase merchandise and support by becoming a friend of Chickenshed. Overall the space is very organized, clean and fun I would recommend to friends and family and I would come back in future for other shows. Not to forget to mention the beautiful outdoor space that they have in the side which is open during the summer. The lights on top make it feel like a magical space for the children to enjoy.
We did join the first stay and play session they had one for £3 per child, it had colouring, drums, hula hoops, shapes to play with the light and shadow, foam squares and headband wear. The team are full of energy and enthusiasm. They really enjoy playing with children and encouraging them to join in."
