"It's a great place to go for a walk. Plenty of different paths to take so it's a great place for a short working-from-home lunch time walk as well as longer ones at the weekend. There's lots of teepee-like structures that people have made from fallen branches which is great for kids to explore -- this is also a bonus for dogs as there's plenty of sticks."

"Loads of little bits of woodland to explore. A great escape from the nearby roads and easy access on to Sale and Chorlton Water Parks via the River Mersey. We've spent a fair bit of time exploring the area and love finding different routes and seeing where they take us."

The waterfowl & wildlife are amazing! It's right on my doorstep too, but here you'll see animals you'd normally never come across. There's the River Mersey walk, Chorlton & Sale Waterparks & the forest which leads to Northenden. Keep walking East along The Mersey & it connects to Fletcher Moss, another beautiful inner city oasis.
I come here most days & try to get in 6-12 miles & I wouldn't even call myself a walker. I never realised I could love the outdoors so much & couldn't do without it now. I can't recommend the whole experience highly enough... 💞 🍂🍃 🕊"
