What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the incredible selection of retro football shirts, calling it 'football shirt heaven' and a must-visit for fans. The atmosphere is often described as buzzing and passionate. However, some find prices high and the new shirt selection limited, with one reviewer expressing significant disappointment with the stock and pricing during their visit.
"As a huge fan of football shirts, visiting the Classic Football Shirts store in London was something I had been looking forward to for ages—and it didn’t disappoint. The shop was buzzing with fellow football fans, all of us flipping through racks of retro shirts and smiling as we recognized names from the backs of kits that took us back years. It was crowded, but in a good way—never uncomfortable, just full of people who clearly shared the same passion.
The store’s focus is very much on retro shirts, which I actually loved. Being able to see the actual condition of these classic kits in person is a big plus over the online experience. There’s something about holding the shirt and checking out the details up close that just hits different. That said, I do wish they carried a bit more of the current season’s shirts, especially from non-UK clubs. Their new stuff is pretty limited.
Also, after seeing some of the price tags, I’m kicking myself for not holding on to a few of my own old shirts—who knew they’d be worth this much now?
All in all, a must-visit for any football shirt collector or fan. Just don’t be surprised if you walk out feeling nostalgic… and a little bit poorer."

"The under £30 rack had a fair number of nice jerseys. Other reviewers complain about the high prices but I saw people buying jerseys the whole time I was there, so I guess somebody thinks the prices are fair. They were too expensive for me but I'm just a casual football kit buyer. Incredible selection."

"Visited August 2024 and was massively disappointed. Every shirt was either £200+ or horrible, the shop itself is way smaller than i expected however it is very easy to get too, would not recommend."

The Allure of Retro Football Shirts
The store's curated selection ensures that fans can find shirts from virtually any club or national team, spanning decades. Whether it's the classic AC Milan home shirt worn by Kaka or a vintage Barcelona jersey featuring Messi, the collection caters to a wide spectrum of football memories. This focus on authenticity and historical significance is what sets Classic Football Shirts apart, making it a pilgrimage site for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram are flooded with videos showcasing these retro gems. Creators often highlight specific shirts, share their excitement about finding rare pieces, or even create 'outfit of the day' looks using blokecore aesthetics. This digital buzz further fuels the demand and appreciation for vintage football apparel.
Navigating the CFS Experience: In-Store vs. Online
However, the online store boasts a different kind of appeal, particularly during sales events. The Boxing Day Sale, for instance, offers a significant 20% discount across all products with a specific code. This makes it an excellent opportunity to snag desired jerseys at a reduced price. The online platform also allows for a broader reach, potentially showcasing a wider inventory than a single physical store might hold at any given time.
Ultimately, the choice between online and in-store depends on your priorities. If you value the hands-on inspection and the vibrant store atmosphere, head to a physical location. If you're hunting for deals or a specific item and are comfortable with online purchasing, the website is your best bet. Many fans utilize both, visiting stores for discovery and browsing online for sales or specific searches.
The 'Sell Your Shirt' Option
This initiative is a smart way for CFS to continually replenish its stock with unique and desirable items. It also benefits sellers by providing a platform to offload shirts that might otherwise be difficult to sell through other channels. The value offered might be less than what you could achieve selling directly to another collector, but it offers convenience and a guaranteed sale.
When considering selling, remember that the condition, rarity, and demand for the shirt will significantly impact its valuation. Shirts from popular teams, iconic players, or rare seasons are more likely to be accepted and fetch a better price.
