"Colchester Town Hall a municipal building, which is the headquarters of Colchester City Council is located at the busy High Street in Colchester Town centre. The council buildings at this site was reconstructed at different time periods. As enter this building, we can see a marble staircase with a statue of Queen Victoria, stained glass and a monument to the Colchester Martyrs (the same list of names as engraved on the war memorial at the gate of Colchester Castle). The first floor has a mayoral suite, a committee room and the council chamber with a painted ceiling, an ancient clock and stained glass windows on both sides of the chamber room. There is large assembly hall on the 2nd floor called the Moot Hall (which was closed for renovation when I visited). Many from the royal family have visited this building. The tower of the building has the statue of St.Helena."

"Wonderful and magical atmosphere hosted by very organised Colchester TownHall. Magnificent and spectacular performance of the quartet. I would advise to not miss it if you have the opportunity to go to any Candlelight concert. I can't wait for the next one, hoping to be soon."
