"This is a lovely place we come to regularly. It maintains it's seaside atmosphere by being so close to the sea. Has lovely cake and yes it's cash only but we need cash or how can we give to some without. Come and enjoy and thank you."

"What a cretin the guy who served us was. On the way to down to the beach we spent 20 pound when we came back up 2hours later we needed to sit on a seat whilst my wife breast fed and we put our shoes on. We were even contemplating buying some food because the food is a fair price . Five minutes after sitting down the server in his 50s/60s that looked like he needed a good wash came out with an attitude approaching my.wofe as she vreast fed trying to move us on. There wast a queue and people wasn't waiting for seats. We were literally the only ones there. Absolute idiot. Needs to get a life and maybe get out of torquay once in a while"

"One morning I thought I would make the most of the weather and spend an hour or so working from a cafe at the beach.
The cafe only excepts cash so I asked the gentleman running the cafe where I would find a cash point as I would be happy to grab cash and come back. He was pretty huffy as he provided directions, I didn't read much into this as I figured he probably gets asked all the time. I let him know that I would be back and was hoping to buy a few drinks and crack on with a little work. Unfortunately I was unable to as I was told that laptops are not allowed at the cafe because they "take up space" and "encroach upon other people". They had no other customers."
