Hello everyone, I’m (22M) posting from the suburbs outside Los Angeles, so I’m not familiar at all with the Croydon area but my dad and little sister (11) moved to Purley some months ago. Where I live there are lots of hiking trails and I would often entertain my sister on a…

What's wrong with Purley?
I'm considering the Purley area to move to. Seems you get a lot of house for the money. Why is that, what am I missing?! I've driven round the area and it seems leafy and quiet. Transport to London is good. Not sure about schools but I don't have kids.

"Coulsdon common offers a tranquil space, fresh air, and a gentle stroll. It is a common place to walk dogs. When land is being used for grazing it is clearly labelled. The fences and gates are well maintained and allow people to continue their walk into the aerodrome if they like. It is possible to see wild animals like deers, rabbits and foxes. Croydon council also do educational things like bat walks and there's a group that gets together and litter pick. Benches are scattered throughout so you can rest and enjoy the view."
