What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Cressbrook Mill's beautiful location and the stunning countryside walks available, particularly along the River Wye and the Monsal Trail. The recent reopening of the footbridge has greatly improved access. Some note the mill's dark history and advise respecting it as a private residential area.
"It's in a beautiful spot, but with a dark history of child slavery.
The clock face has glass in the middle so the kids who had to sleep in the roof had some light.
It is apartments now, very nice too. Great walks in the countryside to be had.
Don't walk around the mill grounds ,the residents get very emotional and insist it's private ground, but they can't stop you looking. π€"

"A friend rented a room here over the weekend.
Great room and bonus playroom in the Bobbin Mill.
Air hockey, pool, full size snooker table, ping-pong etc!
Playroom shuts at 10pm and we got 2 parking spaces with more available on the road outside the mill if needed."

Breathtaking"
