Great place for extended walks beyond the reservoir.
Stunning views from the moors.
Routes can be checked on Komoot or AllTrails.
To do the loop of the resevoir and the moor is about 7 miles. Some steep sections and rough underfoot.
No facilities are available there, so take what's needed.

"Absolutely gorgeous walk! There are two car parks which makes parking easy. In June 2025, there has been a lot of rain recently, but the walk was fine and not muddy. You definitely couldn’t push a pram around here but if your kids can walk then it’s a lovely family walk. Takes about 35 minutes round."

"Digley reservoir is a good place to visit. Walk is fairly easy but gently steep in places. There is free parking to both ends of the main road that runs parallel to the reservoir. Not suitable for disabled access.
Views are beautiful and there’s lots of wildlife as well as farm animals nearby. Great place to visit anytime of the year. The drive to get here from almost every direction is picturesque.
To do the loop shouldn’t take any more than an hour!
Watch your step when walking next to the main road that runs parallel to the reservoir; especially if you have children with you."
