Dziś malowniczy XIII-wieczny, walijski zamek Dolwyddelan, wybudowany przez Llywelyna Wielkiego i chwilę potem zdobyty przez Anglików. Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Dolwyddelan Castle for its atmospheric ruins, breathtaking views from the tower, and the bonus of free entry. The scenic walk through farmland, including a small waterfall, is also a highlight. However, some find the castle grounds are heavily populated with sheep droppings, and the steep steps to the tower may deter those with mobility issues or a fear of heights.

"Beautiful. The castle isn't very big but you get a real sense of how it once was. Always amazed that there is no entrance fee. Perhaps a QR code to make small donations would raise money for the upkeep."

"We didn't drive but walked from the Dolwyddelan village, there's a sidewalk along the main road, then a layby where you can park and then an access gate through a working farm. The hike is lovely, about halfway through the road forks left,if you go down there you'll see a waterfall. The castle ruins are on top of a hill, accessed by some stone steps. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. You can also climb on top of the tower for even more breathtaking views, but the stone steps leading to the structure are quite steep and not for someone who's scared of heights. The only negative thing I would mention (but I guess it's a part of the rural charm) is that the place is an absolute minefield of sheep droppings."

Izabela Cybulska

"A must do if you're in the area. Park up in the layby between the castle and the village, then walk back to the clearly marked gate. An easy walk through the farm yard and along paths up the hill to the castle. You can go inside, and climb the stairs to the ramparts. Fabulous views. The first floor contains lots of information boards. And a bonus, it's all free. We went on a Sunday morning in August and were the only ones there. Don't forget to drop by for a look at the little water fall on the way back down. Path on the right as you descend."
