"Tregar House is a lovely and history landmark to visit. It is home to the house and the gardens, both of which add to its character and charm.
The house has some amazing rooms to visit, each detailing how the residents would have lived long ago. It really has an authentic feel, with the room items being organised to how it would have been.
The gardens itself is quiet, expansive, and full of charm. It is a place to go alone, with the family, a couple, or friends. It is such a relaxing place that anyone would love to visit it it, have a picnic, take in the scenery, and enjoy the view of the surrounding areas, including the lake.
The lake is fairly big, which is home to ducks, swans, geece, etc. There is also another little lake toward the bottom end of the gardens.
There is a little park on site to which you can take your kids to.
There is also a cafe that serves food, drink, and serves dog ice cream.
This truly is one of the most beautiful places in newport and is such well kept, nothing spoils it.
We come here on the occasion, especially during the warmer weather, to really enjoy the garden and walk.
Highly recommend coming here to anyone who loves historic landmarks and/or to anyone who loves a relaxing and lovely, peaceful walk.
