"Amazing place. Went for a wedding. Highly recommended"
Paul Harrison
"This is one of the most historic buildings in Fort William, built in 1692 to house both the prison and the offices of the local sheriff (in Scotland, the sheriff's position was more or less that of a judge). Due to an ancient Celtic cross on the site, people would come here to pray in times of difficulty, so over time it became unofficially known as the town church. During the eighteenth century it was majorly renovated for the first time, following a minor fire. In 1800 it was expanded to accommodate a larger number of parishioners. It is still fully operational, which explains its good condition.
Today it continues to host Mass in Gaelic, giving it a distinctive personality."
