What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Claigan Coral Beach's stunning white sand and vibrant turquoise waters, often describing it as a 'slice of heaven' and a 'hidden gem'. The scenic walk adds to the charm, though the small, chaotic car park can be a challenge, especially during peak season. Some note the 'coral' is actually algae, but this doesn't detract from its beauty.
"Very nice beach with white sand. The name of the beach is actually misleading because it doesn't consist of corals. It made off the remains of bleached seaweed.
The walk along the country road to the beach is not spectacular. Once you arrive it's really nice to hang out and enjoy the remoteness (except for all the other visitors :-D).
Parking fills up during the day. So rather come early especially with a motorhome."

"Little slice of heaven right here ! Well , apart from the carnage of the carpark if you arrive late morning to early evening in the summer . Long old drive here from Portree . Just be patient and you will get a spot eventually as most folks probably just stay for an hour or so if doing a tour..car park is free . A new car park is getting built just now and hopefully ready for next year but I'm sure that's when they will start charging . Stunning beach and a lovely swim in the clear waters ."

"So this is an easy walk, car park is tight and a bit chaotic so don't take a van. Once you've parked the car you then have to walk a further bit of distance for like 20-30 minutes. It's all pathed and has sheep kicking about so keep dogs on a leash.
The beach itself is magic, only regret is not taking a towel for a dip. There isn't bins at the beach so take bin bags, actual bins are found at the car park.
Photos are mines that I took with the drone."
