"This is the oldest County Museum in Ireland and in one of the oldest buildings. But, it is very modern and well kept. One of the oldest items in the museum is an ancient pot going back thousands of years.
The curator and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. There was a tea and biscuits for the opening of the historic lace exhibit the day we visited.
The museum is free of charge and accepts donations. The gift shop is very nice as well."
