"Very Nice park in Evsham. Lovely view by river and ducks. Easy parking on the spot. Near the town centre. I like this place.
They have lots of areas to sit and have different areas to play such as the water park, sandpit area with all the classic park rides and an obstacle course area. All of which were used on this visit. We also enjoyed a nice walk up the river and saw plenty of geese, ducks and swans. Great place to bring the family will be back soon"

"It's a little known fact that the British ships, all 151 of them, gathered on the Avon at Evesham prior to going to war at the Battle of Jutland in 1916. Admiral Sir John Jellicoe had to shout really loud when rallying the fleet as the twenty eight dreadnought class ships were so wide that they had to line up one behind the other. Jellicoe's words were passed Chinese whispers style-ee some thirty-six miles for everyone to hear. There was confusion and some of the ships made their way to Rutland due to misinformation. A difficult task as they had to be carried overland. Matters were complicated as Rutland Water, Europe's biggest man-made reservoir wasn't started until 1971. Abbey Park was constructed to honour the fleet victory with monies provided by the defeated Vice-Admiral Reinhard Scheer who had a whip-round with the defeated German navy."
