The affordable pricing and picnic-friendly atmosphere add to its appeal. However, some guests have noted issues with cleanliness, particularly slippery floors, and the communal shower facilities.
"We enjoyed our first outside swimming of the season. A three hour session on a nice summers day. Our three year old loved the main outside pool and the rapid river.
This combined with the ability to sit and picnic in the surrounding garden area, made it a great visit. Outside toilets and changing areas along with lockers. Great exterior facilities and worth a visit to splash around and enjoy the summer! Recommended!"

"First time going with grandchildren and it was a lot of fun. It was great to be able to use both indoor and outdoor pools plus the "crazy pool." I've no idea what it's called for the price "under £30" Brilliant.
The only issue I found was that the changing room area was quite cramped when busy. But we will definitely be going back on a regular basis."

"Great pools for lane swimming especially sunset swims on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunrise Swim on Sunday morning. The outdoor pool is 33m and indoor 25m.
Clean pools, changing rooms and new lockers. Showers recently refurbished via crowd funding for the project. Friendly reception team who always make swimmers feel welcome. Hard working cleaners who keep the centre to a high standard of cleanliness. The lifeguards are attentive and professional.
Monthly swim pass is better value than pay as you go if swimming more than twice a week. Tides cafe is open at peak times selling great coffee and snacks.
Car park is council run and fees apply in evenings. Beware of poor lighting. Swale Council is looking into this - March 2024"

Exploring the Pools: Indoor vs. Outdoor
The real stars, however, are the heated outdoor pools. Visitors rave about the multiple outdoor areas, including a main pool with diving boards and the popular lazy river with its splash zone. The water is heated, allowing for enjoyable swims even when the air temperature isn't scorching. Many describe the outdoor experience as feeling like a holiday.
Key takeaway: While the indoor facilities are good, the outdoor pools are where Faversham Pools truly shines, offering a diverse range of activities for all ages.
Making the Most of Your 3-Hour Session
Consider the rapids on the lazy river, which only operate for about 10 minutes every half hour. If this is a must-do, factor that into your timing. For families with young children, the splash zone and toddler pool are excellent, and you might want to dedicate a portion of your session to these areas. Remember to factor in time for changing before and after your swim.
Pro-tip: If you're keen on lane swimming, the outdoor pool is 33m and the indoor is 25m, offering good options for dedicated swimmers. Evening swims, especially during sunset, are also highlighted as a special experience.
Community Insights on Cleanliness and Facilities
Despite these points, the friendly reception team and attentive, professional lifeguards are consistently praised, contributing to a welcoming and safe environment. The availability of outside toilets and changing areas is also noted as a positive. For those looking to save money, bringing a picnic is a popular and recommended option.
Overall: While there are areas for improvement, the core swimming experience and the efforts of the staff are generally well-regarded.
