What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hedgecourt Nature Reserve is appreciated for its pretty lake, abundant wild birds, and the charming presence of friendly horses, offering a peaceful environment for dog walks and nature observation. However, visitors note that access can be tricky with limited signage and a very small car park, and the walking paths are restricted due to private land, preventing a full lake circuit.
"A pretty lake with plenty of wild birds.
A little out of the way to get there - not signposted from the main road.
In the middle of quite a lot of private land, which meant you can’t walk around the lake. In fact, the footpath we followed through some woods led back to the main road.
There is a boating club on the far side from the “car park” but couldn’t see a way to walk to it. I say “car park” as it’s a gravel area with about enough space for about 5 cars maximum, a litter bin, and a bench to sit on.
Wouldn’t recommend a trip - not a decent walk and although peaceful, we weren’t there for very long, even with a dog walk involved."
