What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Fife Ness Lighthouse to be a beautiful spot with stunning coastal views and interesting historical remnants nearby. While the lighthouse itself is small and inaccessible, the surrounding scenery and the short, easy walk make it a worthwhile visit for many. Some find the lighthouse design less appealing, but the overall experience is often described as peaceful and picturesque.
"Unusually small lighthouse sat atop a rocky outcrop, enjoying great views of the surrounding coastline. Dating back to 1975, the lighthouse protects shipping from dangerous rocks off the coast, and replaced the last light vessel to have operated in the area.
There's a bench below the lighthouse for visitors to sit and enjoy the view for a moment. Just west of the lighthouse are the remains of an old harbour and tide mill, with information boards detailing their history. The walk from the Non-Golfers Car Park takes less than 10 minutes, and it's also worth looking at Constantine's Cave while visiting."

"A bit of an unusual drive out through a golf course, and passed an abandoned RAF based now being used by dragsters, but a lovely spot to sit and explore. Some protected pool areas bear by. Just remember to turn right before getting getting to the club house. The light house appears to be closed off to visitors but still can get a good look at it via the Fife coastal trail."

"Worst ugly lighthouse I've ever seen"
