"Fantastic example of a disuesed military fort. A company is currently in the process of renovating and rebuilding parts of it. I really hope that they are able to finish it as it seems to have halted or stopped. It is a lovely place for a picnic and if the redevelopment of the site is finished, it will make an almost "Bond-like villains getaway" come to life! Exciting times. You can get Fantastic views of the Isle of Wight from here as well as of the South coast of the UK."

"Interesting old fort in a derelict condition after years of disuse. There have been several schemes proposed to develop the fort into luxury housing but so far all have fallen through.
There is security fencing around the site but sometimes this is broken allowing access. Well worth a look around if you happen to find a way in."

"Interesting now that they have started renovations, revealing the outer walls hidden for so long"
