The kitchen at Gainsborough old hall is around 550 years old so predates the royal visits of both Richard III and Henry VIII. Both Kings were entertained here which will of course have meant lots of food. A few alterations have been made but the hearths, bread ovens, servery were all there then just as they are now. What an incredible, historic space to explore!
