What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Greenbank Pool Street is widely praised as a top-tier outdoor swimming facility, lauded for its heated waters, art deco charm, and family-friendly splash zones. Visitors love the ample grassy areas for picnics and the peaceful adult-only swim sessions. However, some find the requirement for children to prove swimming ability before entering the deep end a hurdle, and accessibility for pushchairs could be improved.
"A great, heated outdoor swimming pool with a splash zone. I like how there is a large patch of grass for picnics with benches. Also a shop with food and drinks. But, if you have little ones planning to go in the deep end, they have to prove themselves by doing four laps of the pool, which is 60-80m combined. And we had to wait 30 mins to get in. Overall a great place with 2 flaws."

"What a gem of an outdoor pool. Heated during the summer months (I would guess the water was about 28° when I was there). Booked for an evening adult only swim for £8.50 via the website. Parking onsite was easy and you're greeted by a marvellous 1930s art deco entrance building. Changing cubicles are rustic, but there are warm outdoor showers in the changing areas and clean toilets. No lockers, so don't take valuables. The pool was clean and evidently very popular with regulars. The main pool is 30m in length, and there is a semi-circular paddling pool adjoining the main pool, in-keeping with the art deco style. Attentive lifeguards. Lovely grass surrounds. Will definitely stop off here again."

"Great place to take the kids in the warm weather. Lots of grass space and lots of shade. Has toilets and changing rooms. It has a shop onsite although I didn’t use it. Didn’t see any ramps on the front to go with pushchair which made it a little difficult."
